Hi there, my name is Kian Speck (pretty obvious, huh?). I have worked in the field of natural resource sciences for the better part of the last decade. I grew up in Montana near the gateway to Yellowstone National Park, where I spent much of my youth fishing, rock climbing, and exploring the woods. Utilizing my scientific expertise combined with my experiences ‘roughing it’, I write about a variety of issues related to the outdoors and what it means to be a conservationist in the 21st century.
